The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has praised Ndubuisi Egbo after he made history as the first Nigerian and African to lead a European club to a top tier domestic title.
The former Nigerian international achieved the feat after guiding Tirana to a 2-0 home victory over Flamutari which was them open a seven-point gap at the top of the table.
Tirana will play in the UEFA Champions League next season following the feat.

”At a period when talks about the low presence of black managers across major European leagues is dominating headlines, Nigeria-born Ndubuisi Egbo’s breakthrough as the first African to win a league title in Europe,” CAF tweeted.
Egbo, who started his managerial career with Albanian club Baylis, has been with Tirana since 2014 as goal keeping coach before he was made manager of the side in 2019.
Tirana have a chance to clinch a double when they face Teuta Durres in the Domestic Cup final on August 2.
