Since Davido signed Sinzu to DMW last year, we’ve barely heard anything from the rapper – save for his fantastic “Able God” refix. Well, a few months ago, things changed, and he released his first official single, “Zu Level“, which he has now followed up with an engaging video.
Almost a decade ago, when Sinzu was still using the Sauce Kid moniker, he gave us some of Nigeria‘s most memorable party bops, such as “Under G”, “Samboribobo” and “Carolina”. Now, he’s brought that same energy into 2019, soaring on the instantly infectious “Zu Level”.
Against a catchy and fast-paced beat, Sinzu confidently raps about his flashy lifestyle, poking fun at the silly things he did for cash that got him locked up. He brags about his ability to bring the wild side out of anyone, from tempting taken women to turning the club into a zoo.
For the accompanying video, Sinzu brings his lyrics to life, with scenes filled with dancers painted as animals, flashy cars, expensive drinks. Directed by Dang Visuals, the neon-soaked clip is very fitting, making the already-solid track even more memorable.
