Dr. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, the commandant general of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), has given checks for unspecified sums of money to the families of dead officers who were attacked and killed by bandits in Birnin Gwari, Kaduna State.
Additionally, he said that each family of the seven killed employees will be given the opportunity to apply for one employment spot, and that the offers had been approved by Interior Minister Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola.
Audi regretted that the Corps had lost officers in the line of duty in the past, but not as many as the Kaduna tragedy when speaking to officers, men, and grieving families at the NSCDC Kaduna Command Headquarters.
He described the killing as colossal, but charged other personnel not to be deterred by the ugly incident.
