EA Sports, the developers behind the FIFA video game series, recently announced that FIFA 20 will be released on September 20. To get us hyped, they have now unveiled the Ultimate Team icons on the video game, which includes African legends, Michael Essien and Didier Drogba.

Last year, when FIFA 19 was making waves across the world, Essien and Drogba were both still somewhat active in football. The video game featured a bunch of stars who have made names for themselves in the beloved sport, including Nigeria‘s Jay-Jay Okocha.

Now, we’re more than excited that Africa will be getting even more representation, with the addition of the two legends. Their inclusion means both icons have been immortalised in the FIFA series, and gamers will get a chance to virtually relive their time at Chelsea.

Even more exciting? Both legends were given fantastic attributes on the game. For example, Drogba brags of an impressive rating of 91, while Essien comes very close with a solid 90. They are joined on the list by other legends like Zinedine Zidane and Pep Guardiola.
