With the 2018-19 Premier League season over, Liverpool is set to host its annual end-of-the-season award dinner. This year, Nigeria will be very much represented, as Rinsola Babajide has been nominated for Liverpool Women’s Player of the Year award.

A former Watford Ladies player, the proficient Babajide became a sensation in 2016 after she scored 14 goals for the University of East London women’s football team in an amateur game which ended an unbelievable 40-0.

Since joining Liverpool Women in 2018, she has made 21 appearances, but the highlight of her career came a month ago, when she scored her first-ever hattrick in a match – earning her a nomination for Liverpool’s April ‘Goal of the Month’ award, which she lost to Mohamed Salah.

Babajide is shortlisted for the Liverpool Women’s ‘Player of the Year’, and you can vote right here.
