Mané & Salah Nominated For The Premier League ‘Player Of The Season’ Award

Last night, Liverpool pulled off the comeback of the decade, beating Barcelona 4-0 at Anfield, after losing to them 3-0 at Camp Nou.

Following their well-deserved entry into the Champions League final, the club’s two biggest and most dependable stars – Sadio Mané and Mohamed Salah – have unsurprisingly been nominated for the coveted Premier League ‘Player of the Season‘ award.

In addition to their Champions League achievement, Liverpool currently sits among the top four on the Premier League table – thanks to the efforts of Mané and Salah. Before the season started, many saw Mané as Salah’s unofficial sidekick, helping him shine during his debut season in Liverpool.

However, things changed this season, as he soared in almost every game, recording his most successful season so far. With 20 goals under his belt, he’s currently the joint number two on the top scorers’ table, and that number may go up when Liverpool takes on Man City in the final.

While Salah will be looking to become the first player in over a decade to retain the ‘Player of the Season’ award, Mané will be looking to win it for the first time. Depending on who you think deserves the honour, you can vote for either of the African superstars right here.
