President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday appointed a new Chief of Staff, Ibrahim Gambari, following the death of the former CoS, Abba Kyari who died from Coronavirus.
According to Daily Post, the Kwara State indigent was appointed by President Buhari from the list of 14 names submitted to him.
Even though the president is yet to officially announce the appointment the Emir of Ilorin, Sulu-Gambari has appreciated the president for appointing Ibrahim as the new CoS.
This is coming after Kyari who served in the position from 2015 and died on April 17 from COVID-19 complications.
Gambari was Buhari’s Minister of External (Foreign) Affairs during his time as Military Head of State between January 1984 and August 1985.
