Pastor Enoch Adejare Adeboye of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) has called on Nigerians to pay listening ears to the stay at home order issued by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
The RCCG General Overseer while delivering a sermon on Sunday, April 26 in a live broadcast, emphasized that the stay at home order issued by the government as a precautionary measure against the COVID-19 disease should be well observed by Nigerian.
According to the renowned cleric, Nigerians should listen to the laid down rules and regulation by the political leaders with respect to the spread of Coronavirus.
Pastor Adeboye noted that doing so is the best way the virus could be defeated, adding that even the bible gives clarity to obedience to political leaders, as the Lord has given them the power to make decrees for the betterment of citizens.
Adeboye said, “There are categories of power. There is political power. Ecclesiastes 8:4 says where the word of a king is, there is power. You put it in the modern language, where the word of the President is, there is power.
“If you don’t believe that, just check what is happening now. The President sits in his house and makes a decree or pronouncement, everybody stays at home, and if you love yourself, stay at home.”
Meanwhile, President, Omega Fire Ministries Worldwide, Apostle Johnson Suleman has told the federal government of Nigeria to allow pastors access the various COVID-19 isolation centres in the country and heal affected persons.
