Sule Lamido, a one time governor of Jigawa State has disclosed the result of his Coronavirus (COVID-19) test following his contact with an index case in Kano State.
According to Lamido in a post on his social media account, Facebook noted that it was necessary for him to undergo the test following his contact with Ambassador Kabiru Rabiu who became the index case of the dreadful disease in Kano State.
However, Lamido announced that his COVID-19 test result returned negative, adding that his police orderly and the driver also tested negative to the global pandemic.
His post reads: “Dr Imam Wada Bello called at 5:35 pm 15/4/2020 and informed me that they are through with our sample tests and our results, that is myself, driver and Orderly thankfully are ALL NEGATIVE and that he will send me the details later tonight.
“We have spoken now 11:46 pm 15/4/2020 that the results will be sent in the morning.”
Meanwhile, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Wednesday night, at about 11:30 pm, confirmed 34 new cases of Coronavirus in the country.
The development was released on the official Twitter account of NCDC on Wednesday.
