Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) boss Amamju Pinnick, revealed the conditions and clauses that must be accepted by Super Eagles coach if he is to continue working as the Head coach after June 2020 when his contract expires.
Franco-German tactician, Rohr, started working for the NFF in 2016 but his salary is paid in dollars and he doesn’t reside in Nigeria but Pinnick has now revealed that a new contract for Rohr will be ready in a week but he must accept three new clauses if not the NFF will look for another coach.
The clauses include;
1. Rohr’s salary will be paid in Naira.
2. Rohr must reside in Nigeria
3.Rohr must attend local league matches with view of grooming local players to international stars.
According to Pinnick the NFF wants to continue working with Rohr but hiring a new coach won’t be a challenge should Rohr refuse the new contract.
“In one week, Rohr will get his contract, he should study his contract and come back to us. So, give and take, within seven days, he should have his contract,” Pinnick stated in an interview on Arise TV ‘Morning Show’
“The only thing that can impede the contract is if he refuses some of our new clauses in the contract. “Rohr should live in Nigeria and go around to watch the league matches and see how to nurture the players.
Pinnick added.;“He has to be paid in naira, we will pay him naira equivalent of the dollars, we have to strengthen our currency. If he’s able to accept, we have a deal.”
“I get calls every day from coaches that want to come here”
