Gov. Darius Ishaku of Taraba on Wednesday approved the relaxation of the lockdown imposed on Taraba to prevent the spread of COVID-19 in the state.
This is contained in a statement by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Alhaji Hassan Mijinyawa, in Jalingo.
Mijinyawa that with the current arrangement, shop and markets would open between 8: 00 am and 2:00 pm daily till further notice.
Similarly, vehicular movement would also be allowed between 8:00 am and 2:00 pm daily.
The statement quoted Ishaku as thanking the people of the state for their cooperation and understanding while the lockdown lasted.
He urged the people to continue to comply with the necessary directives in order to collectively stop the spread of the virus in the state.
