Popular Nigerian comedian, AY Makun says all those who called out Nollywood actress, Funke Akindele and her husband, JJC Skillz, for violating lockdown directives should do same to their countless oppressors in government.
KanyiDaily had reported that Funke and JJC were arrested, tried and sentenced to 14 days community service and fined N100,000 each for flouting the Lagos state government’s order on social gathering which was meant to prevent the spread of coronavirus.
Reacting the the development on his Twitter page, AY who acknowledged that no one is above the law, said all those who canvassed such punishment should do same to those trampling on the rights of others in power.
He also expressed hope that the embattled actress and her husband will rise above the current predicament they are in.
“Yes! Nobody is above the law. But I wish those of you who called out @funkeakindele can do same with your countless oppressors in government. Even when the sky is filled with clouds the sun still shines above. Funke will rise again. #Lessons learnt,” he wrote.
