The Kwara State Polytechnic, Ilorin, has expelled eight students for examination malpractice, the News Agency of Nigeria reports.
The Principal Assistant Registrar, Daramola Olayinka, said this in a statement on Friday.
He said the school decided to expel the students after the authorities considered the report of the academic board in respect of their involvement in examination malpractice.
According to the statement, their expulsion is in line with the provision of the Students’ Information and Regulations Handbook 2014.
The statement read, “You, therefore, cease to be students of the polytechnic and you should hand over all polytechnic’s property in your possession “to your heads of department or the appropriate polytechnic authority.”
