Wadume, who claimed he is not a kidnapper but a political thug, said he also received N6 million from a sitting governor.
Suspected kidnap kingpin, Hamisu Bala Wadume, says he got N13 million from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to prosecute the 2019 presidential election.
Wadume was arrested by men of the Inspector General of Police Intelligence Response Team in the late hours of Monday, August 19, 2019, in his hideout at Layin Mai Allo Hotoro area of Kano State.
He was taken into custody after his mysterious escape which led to the killing of three policemen “by the army” in Taraba state.
In an interview with Vanguard, Wadume claimed he is not a kidnapper but a political thug.
He alleged that a siting governor had given him N6 million during the electioneering campaign.
Wadume also told the newspaper that he defrauded a civil servant to the tune of N30 million.
