Manchester United players were ‘shocked’ by the decision of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to take Paul Pogba off penalties after the 1-1 draw with Wolves, the UK Sun reports.
The spot kick was awarded at 1-1, allowing United to retake the lead in the second half.
Pogba stepped up after discussing with Marcus Rashford and saw his effort palmed away by Rui Patricio and the game eventually ended in a draw.
Solskjaer was furious with the indecision shown by Pogba and Rashford at such a key point during the match.
After the game, the Norwegian told Pogba in front of the players in the dressing room, that he would no longer be taking penalties.
It left the squad stunned as some players are now “concerned” about how the France midfielder will react.
