Davido is no stranger to international collaborations, as he’s teamed up with everyone from Clean Bandit to Young Thug. Now, for his upcoming album, it looks like he is adding more names to the roster, announcing a collaboration with Grammy-nominated singer, Jeremih.
Last weekend, Davido released his much-anticipated collaboration with Chris Brown, “Blow My Mind”. The accompanying video, which arrived on Tuesday, has been very well-received, smashing the YouTube record for the fastest Nigerian music video to reach one million views.
We aren’t sure if the Chris Brown-assisted bop will make it to Davido’s long-awaited sophomore album, however, he has assured us of one American singer who is definitely making the cut: Jeremih, who will feature alongside 2 Baba on Northboi-produced track, “Right Here”.

Jeremih is best known for his 2009 breakout song, “Birthday Sex” and the J. Cole-assisted “Planez”, which bagged him a Grammy nomination. Recently featuring on “Secret”, one of the standouts off Burna Boy’s African Giant, it seems Jeremih is about to nab a ton of Nigerian fans.
This year, Davido has enjoyed another career spike, thanks, in part, to the rapidly increasing popularity of Nigerian music overseas. So, even though we’ve been waiting for years for this project, it really couldn’t be coming at a better time for the afropop titan.
