Bundesliga: Boniface Returns To Bayer Leverkusen Training, Set To Face Werder Bremen

Victor Boniface was back in training with Bayer Leverkusen on Friday ahead of the Bundesliga clash with Werder Bremen.

The Bundesliga champions will be up against Ole Werner’s side at the Weserstadion, Bremen on Saturday.

Boniface was involved in a ghastly car accident last Sunday.

The Nigeria international sustained minor injuries from the unfortunate incident.

The 23-year-old missed Die Werkself midweek’s UEFA Champions League clash with Brest.

The striker is however in contention to face Bremen after his return to training.

Manager Xabi Alonso said earlier on Friday: “We still have one more day to recover today and we want to prepare well again today. We will decide after the final training whether Boni will come along. But we have a very ready squad, everyone is important and everyone is ready when we need them.”
