Nigeria’s track queen, Tobi Amusan will begin her quest for a podium finish at the ongoing 2024 Olympic Games on Wednesday (today).
The women’s 100m hurdles world record holder will grace the track of the Stade de France at 9.15am Nigeria time.
Amusan will be hoping to better her performance from Tokyo 2000 where she finished fourth.

The 27-year-old caught the eye by setting a new world record time of 12.12s at the 2022 World Athletics Championship in Eugene, Oregon.
Having made history as the first Nigerian to win gold medal in the women’s 100m hurdles at the World Athletics Championship, she will hope to go a step further by claiming the top prize in Paris 2024.
She is the current Commonwealth and African champion in the 100 m hurdles, as well as the meet record holder in those two competitions.
Amusan is also the current Diamond league champion, achieving a winning streak in 2021, 2022 and 2023.
