The safety of crossdresser Bobrisky has been assured by officials of the Nigerian Correctional Service.
Recall that the controversial socialite was today sentenced to six months in prison.
The decision came after Justice Abimbola Awogboro of the Lagos Division of the Federal High Court sentenced Bobrisky to jail following his guilty plea to a four-count charge of naira abuse.
During the court proceedings, Bobrisky clarified his gender status, affirming that he identifies as a man.
Prison officials, however, assured that adequate measures would be taken to protect Bobrisky from potential sexual violations from other inmates.
“He shouldn’t be afraid of s3xual assault from other male inmates because our men can give him protection,” they assured.
