The Prosecutor’s Office in Spain is pursuing legal action against Real Madrid manager, Carlo Ancelotti, for alleged tax fraud, seeking a five-year prison sentence.
According to reports from Relevo, the Italian coach is facing charges related to defrauding the Treasury of over €1 million during his initial tenure at Real Madrid between 2014 and 2015.
The Prosecutor’s Office is specifically seeking a jail term of four years and nine months for Ancelotti. The charges stem from his alleged failure to declare income from image rights in addition to his remuneration as Madrid’s manager.
The amounts in question are €386,361 for the year 2014 and €675,718 for the year 2015.
