Logos Olori, a signee of Davido Music Worldwide (DMW), has shared the challenges he faced as an emerging artist before securing a record deal with Davido‘s label last year.
In a recent interview on Cool FM, Logos Olori revealed that he had previously reached out to music executives, including Don Jazzy, via their direct messages, seeking a record deal.
The singer said he did not receive a response from Don Jazzy and other music stars he contacted begging for a record deal.
Logos Olori disclosed that, unlike his attempts with other artists, Davido recognized his potential and decided to sign him to DMW.
He said; “David was one person I didn’t send DM’s to, Olamide was the first artist that posted my song, I even met him in Dubai and I told him to give me one verse but I chased that verse and unfortunately I didn’t get it.
I was in Don Jazzy’s DM, and I was in everybody’s DM but a lot of them won’t reply to me, I was even in Burna Boy’s DM at some point but not for music-related issues that were just for like something he said and I replied and we argued”.
KanyiDaily recalls that Logos Olori also expressed admiration for Davido, acknowledging the significant impact he has had on the music industry.
