Nigerian comedian, Trinity Guy has shared a video showcasing his encounter with a graduate who was collecting condemned iron on the street.
In the video shared on his Instagram page, Trinity Guy could be seen engaging in a conversation with the man who revealed that he is a graduate of Architecture from a Nigerian tertiary institution.
Expressing concern, Trinity Guy inquired if the man is mentally okay, to which the graduate responds affirmatively, revealing that his dire financial situation has compelled him to collect discarded iron for a living.
The man shared his struggles, revealing that he has lost both parents and his wife, who shares a child with him, left due to their impoverished condition.
Despite his challenging circumstances, the graduate noted that he is not alone in this endeavor; his elder brother assists him in selling the collected items, earning them a meager income ranging from N500 to N1000 daily.
Deeply moved by his story, Trinity Guy took the man to a barber for a makeover, providing him with new clothes, and treated him to a meal at a restaurant.
In a generous act of philanthropy, Trinity Guy also gifted the graduate and his brother the sum of N50,000, leaving them visibly emotional and grateful.
Sharing the video, Trinity Guy expressed his sadness over the graduate’s plight, emphasizing the heartbreaking nature of a situation where a qualified person resorts to collecting condemned iron for survival.
He wrote; “This is he*rtbroken 💔💔💔💔 💔💔and i cr*ed so hard because how a graduate will be picking condemned iron on the street.”
The comedian’s act of compassion has resonated with many online, eliciting an outpouring of positive reactions and admiration for his efforts to make a positive impact in the lives of those facing adversity.
