Two children confirmed dead in Lagos as heavy downpour causes fence to collapse

Two unnamed children have been killed, following a fence collapse on a building which affected their room in the Ikorodu area of lagosstate on Saturday afternoon.

Sources at the scene of the incident confirmed that the building collapse happened during the afternoon downpour at 25, Alao Street, OkaInukan in the Isawo area of Ikorodu, after which a nearby fence fell on them in the room from the back end.

Though details are still sketchy concerning the number of persons who may be stuck, but as at the time of filing this report, emergency responders, including mostly residents of the area were still battling to bring out the bodies of he children said to be stuck in the rubble of the collapsed fence.

Meanwhile, a Safe Our Soul, SOS, appeal has been made to authorities of the Emergency responders across Lagos State to mobilize their men to the scene, in order to rescue persons who might be trapped  under the rubble.
