Napoli is engaged in advanced negotiations to extend Osimhen’s contract until 2027, offering him a salary increase to €6.5 million along with €1 million in bonuses.
The potential extension also entails a release clause of £170 million for the Nigerian striker. Osimhen, 24 years old, played a pivotal role in leading Napoli to their first Serie A title in 33 years, registering an impressive tally of 26 goals in 32 games.
Rudi Garcia, the new manager of Napoli, has confirmed that Osimhen will remain at the club for the upcoming season, expressing the player’s desire to continue achieving great things with the team.

Osimhen’s exceptional performance earned him the coveted Capocannoniere award, presented to the top scorer in Serie A, making him the first African recipient of this prestigious accolade.
He not only scored 26 goals but also provided five assists in his 32 league appearances for Napoli.
In response to rumors suggesting that Osimhen was unwilling to sign a new contract, his agent, Roberto Calenda, took to twitter to dismiss the claims as fake news.
Calenda refuted a report from the Naples-based newspaper Il Mattino, which alleged that his client intended to explore other options in the market and would not renew his contract with Napoli.
Osimhen is expected to rejoin Napoli for pre-season training on Wednesday, further affirming his commitment to the club.
