French topflight organiser Ligue 1 has congratulated Moses Simon after the Super Eagles qualified for next year’s AFCON in Côte d’Ivoire.
Simon was in action for the Eagles who edged Sierra Leone 3-2 in Group A match-day five games in Monrovia, Liberia on Sunday.
The Nantes forward featured from the start before going off for Calvin Bassey in the 93rd minute.
Reacting to the Eagles qualification, Ligue 1 posted a picture of Simon on Twitter stating:“ “
Victor Osimhen bagged a first half brace while Kelechi Iheanacho netted the winner in stoppage time to seal the win.
The Eagles, on 12 points, go top in Group A and will take on São Tomé and Principe in an inconsequential fixture in September.
