2023 AFCONQ: Adeleye Thrilled With Winning Debut For Super Eagles

Adebayo Adeleye has expressed his delight after making a winning debut with the Super Eagles in Sunday’s 2023 AFCON qualifier against Sierra Leone.

Adeleye marked his first cap for the Eagles in their 3-2 win against the Leone Stars which sealed qualification to next year’s AFCON in Côte d’Ivoire.

Victor Osimhen bagged a brace while Kelechi Iheanacho netted the winner in stoppage time to seal the three points.

Reacting after the game, Adeleye thanked everyone who believed in him.

“Dream debut done ✅ and dusted. 🇳🇬🦅 🧤,” he wrote on Twitter.

“Thank you to everyone for believing in me & for the support. 🙏🏾💪🏾.”

The Eagles will conclude the qualifiers with a home game against São Tomé and Principe in September.
