Fikayo Tomori was in action for AC Milan in their 2-0 home loss to Inter in the Champions League semi-final first leg on Wednesday.
Tomori saw action for 90 minutes but could not help Milan avoid defeat to their city rivals.
Early goals from Edin Dzeko and Henrikh Mkhitaryan secured the win for Inter.
For Tomori it was a game where he equaled a 20-year-old Champions League record.
According to statistician OptaJoe, Tomori became the first Englishman to appear in a Champions League semi-final for a non-English club since Steve McManaman in May 2003 for Real Madrid.
McManaman joined Madrid in 1999 and won two LaLiga titles, two Champions League titles before departing in 2003.
