Antoine Griezmann, Lionel Messi and Neymar

Lionel Messi has told the Barcelona board that he has concerns over the attitude of possible new signing Antoine Griezmann and would prefer the return of Neymar, according to RMC Sport.

Griezmann has already confirmed that he will leave Atletico Madrid this summer and was widely expected to move to the Camp Nou.

However, Messi would rather Barca pursue a deal to bring Neymar back from Paris Saint-Germain instead of signing the France international.

In other news, Xherdan Shaqiri has sought to end any talk of him considering a move away from Liverpool, with the Switzerland international taking aim at the Premier League title.

The 27-year-old was acquired by the Reds in the summer of 2018 after seeing a release clause in his contract at Stoke activated on the back of relegation out of the Premier League.

Shaqiri has managed to deliver six goals across 30 appearances and ended his debut campaign on Merseyside as a Champions League winner but lack of starts has sparked talk of supposed interest from the likes of West Ham.
