Late last year, Reekado Banks shocked the music industry with his abrupt departure from Mavin Records. This decision was met with skepticism, but in the time since, the young afropop star, who now helms Banks Music, has shown that he can thrive on his own.
His latest announcement on Instagram is further proof of that, as he promises “even more gbedu” on his upcoming sophomore album.
In a witty Instagram post late last night, Reekado Banks gave his followers a cheeky news-bite. In his report, he revealed that he will no longer be dropping the #uncmn EP he has been teasing for so long, as he’ll be dropping an LP instead.
If Reekado Banks’ two singles this year, “Yawa” and “Maria”, are anything to go by, we are really in for a treat with his upcoming album. The afropop star certainly seems to believe so too, as he’s already got plans for a world tour lined up.
We can’t wait for more news on the #uncmn album.
