The Senate of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), on Wednesday, ordered all students to vacate the halls of residence latest by noon on Thursday 15 July 2021.
The management of the university warned that no access will be granted to any student at noon on Thursday, July 15.
The institution’s management stated via its website, that the University of Lagos community was also hit by a possible third wave COVID-19.
The vacation order was contained in a notice, signed by Prof. Ademola Adeleke, Dean of Student Affairs tagged: “Important Notice. Immediate Closure Of Hostels To Check The Spread Of Covid-19 On Campus.
The notice read: “To check the spread of Covid-19 on campus, the University Senate has directed that all students vacate the halls of residence latest by noon on Thursday 15 July 2021.
“No access will be granted to any student at noon on 15 July. The hostels will be locked indefinitely. Therefore students are advised to move all their personal effects at once.
Meanwhile, the Senate approved that lectures for the rest of the semester will be delivered virtually with effect from 26th July 2021.
