COVID-19: Adamawa Orders Immediate Shutdown Of Schools

According to SaharaReporters, a directive has been issued to all schools in Adamawa State to close with immediate effect.

The order comes in the wake of the announcement of the second wave of the deadly coronavirus outbreak.

A statement by the permanent secretary, ministry of education and human capital development, Aisha Abubakar, said the closure takes immediate effect.

“The ministry of education and human capital development wishes to direct and announce the immediate closure of private and public schools in the state today, December 17, 2020.

“Resumption date will be announced on a later date. All school administrators/authorities are to comply with the directives strictly,” the statement said.
