Last month, NotJustOk released a trailer for a Wande Coal-focused documentary, King Coal, which followed the singer in the run-up to his first-ever headline concert in Nigeria. Now, the documentary is finally out, giving more insight into Wande Coal’s creative process.
The documentary shows the afropop icon rehearsing for his then-upcoming concert, and the synergy between him and his band is given particular focus. The documentary also follows him on his media runs, managing to get some gems out of him during each commute.
Following suit from Mr Eazi’s fantastic documentary, content like this is clearly very important, as it lets us know our stars a bit better. It allows us to gain some much-needed insight into their process — inevitably making us appreciate them and their craft a lot more.
