Super Eagles defender Ola Aina will miss Torino’s next three Serie A games after he was suspended for three games following his red card in the club’s 3-2 home defeat to Bologna last Sunday, Completesports.com reports.
Aina was sent off by the centre refree deep into stoppage time at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino.
The Nigeria international will miss Torino’s next three Serie A games against Fiorentina, Sampdoria and Parma.
The 22-year-old who is on loan at Torino from English Premier League side Chelsea has featured in 24 league games for Walter Mazzarri ‘ s men this season with a goal to his name.
He look set for a permanent transfer to Torino at the end of the season following his impressive showing for the club.
Torino occupy eighth position in the Serie A table with 44 points from 28 games.
The versatile defender pulled out of Nigeria’s squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture against the Pirates of Seychelles and the friendly clash against the Pharaohs of Egypt due to injury.
He missed out on a place in Nigeria’s squad to the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia but was recalled for the AFCON qualifiers last year.
The forHull City loanee has made two appearances appearances for the Super Eagles in mthe the qualifiers.
