West Bromwich Albion defender Semi Ajayi is looking forward to the restart of football action in the Sky Bet Championship following Friday’s friendly against Manchester United at the Old Trafford, reports Completesports.com.

Football was suspended in England in mid-March due to the outbreak of coronavirus pandemic.

However, football has been cleared to return by the government – behind closed doors with all the clubs back in training ahead of the restart.

The Baggies were involved in two friendly games against Manchester United on Friday, winning the first 2-1 and going down to a 3-1 defeat in the second.

“90 minutes in the tank and preparations complete for the restart. Hungrier than ever,”Ajayi wrote on his Instagram page.

Ajayi has featured in 35 league games for West Brom this season and scored five goals.

Slaven Bilic’s men are currently second in the Championship, a point behind leaders, Leeds United.

The Baggies will host Birmingham City at the Hawthorns next week Saturday.
