The Super Eagles duo of Victor Osimhen and William Troost-Ekong have emerged as major injury doubts for their 2023 Africa Cup of Nations quarter-final clash against Angola.
Osimhen was replaced late in the Round of 16 win over Cameroon by Paul Onuachu.
But captain Troost-Ekong played the entire duration of the encounter.
The two players had bandages strapped to their legs and did not train with the group on Monday.
With the game against Angola just four days away, it could just be a precautionary move to help both players recover fully.
Jose Peseiro will have at least three training sessions left before the game against Angola, to assess the fitness of the players.
