Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has showered encomium on his former Gunners teammate, Alex Iwobi reports Completesports.com.

Iwobi has thrived since leaving the Emirates Stadium in 2019.

The 28-year-old enjoyed a successful spell at Everton before moving to Fulham last summer.

Arteta said he admired Iwobi for his exemplary qualities.

“I always liked him a lot. I thought that he had tremendous talent and a very special quality,” he was quoted by Metro UK.

” He has the capacity to play in different spaces and positions. I’m really happy to see him performing at this level.”

The Nigeria international has scored five goals in 15 league appearances for Marco Silva’s side this season.
