Super Falcons defender Onome Ebi has signed a one-year contract extension with Chinese Women’s Premier League outfit Henan Huishang, Completesports.com reports.
Ebi, 35, joined Henan Huishang in January 2018 on a one-year contract, but she has decided to extend her stay at the club following the expiration of the deal.
The centre-back turned down interest from other clubs in Asia and Europe before inking the new contract.
The vastly travelled defender began her professional career at Swedish club Pitea IF in 2009 before moving to another Swedish team Djurgården the following season.
She then played for Turkish sides Düvenciler Lisesispor and Ataşehir Belediyespor from 2010 to 2013.
Ebi made her Champions League debut in August 2012 while playing for Ataşehir Belediyespor.

The former Bayelsa Queens defender returned to Swedish Damallsvenskan in 2013 to play for Sunnana UK before going to play for FC Minsk in the Belarusian Premier League where she was a member of the team that won the Belarusian Premier League, the Belarusian Women’s Cup and the Belarusian Women’s Super Cup twice.
Ebi has won 51 caps with Nigeria, and all things being equal, is expected to make her fifth World Cup appearance for the country at the 2019 FIFA Women’s World Cup in France in June.
