The new media aide to President Muhammadu Buhari, Bashir Ahmad, has attacked the Commissioner for Works and Infrastructure, Muazu Magaji, for jubilating over the death of President Buhari’s Chief of Staff, Abba Kyari.
Recall that the commissioner in his reaction on Facebook had stated that Nigeria is now free following the death of Kyari.
According to him, Abba Kyari had so much power that he decided the fate of Nigerians.
He was quoted as saying, “There is a world of difference between a good person and a good leader. Leadership is an aggregated quality of mass empathy and personal favours.”
“Nigeria is bigger than any individual. While praying for the President’s late support staff. Ours is to prevent a repeat of a non-accountable domineering era.”
Bashir in his reaction to the Commissioners statement on Twitter expressed disappointment over the statement. He urged the Governor of Kano State, Umar Ganduje to call his commissioner to order.
“I am really disappointed and pained by the Kano State Commissioner for Works, Engr. Muazu Magaji’s remarks on Mallam Abba Kyari’s demise, the commissioner was seen publicly celebrating the death on his Facebook page. I hope @KanoStateNG and @GovUmarGanduje will call him to order.”
“It can be easily overlooked when some minor misguided people celebrate Malam Abba Kyari or anyone’s death, but when it’s a member of Kano Executive Council, a commissioner it would be hard to do the same, Engr Magaji’s action was irresponsible, for God’s sake he is a stakeholder.”
