Super Eagles winger Alex Iwobi is upbeat Arsenal can overturn their 3-1  first leg deficit against French club Rennes in the Europa League, reports Completesports.com.

Iwobi scored Arsenal’s opening goal in the third minute of the encounter. It was his first Europa League goal for the Gunners.

Benjamin Bourigeaud however  levelled scores  for the French side moment after Sokratis Papastathopoulos was sent off for a second booking.

Nacho Monreal’s own goal and Ismaila Sarr’s 88th-minute brilliant effort handed the French side the victory at Roazhon Park.

Iwobi took to the social media to express optimism that Unai Emery’s men can progress further in the competition despite the defeat to Rennes on Thursday.

“Still got another 90 [minutes], we go again,” he posted posted on Instagram.

Arsenal will host  Rennes in the reverse fixture next week Thursday at the Emirates Stadium,  London.

The Nigeria international  has made 37 appearances for Arsenal this season in all competitions scoring five goals.

Arsenal will look to bounce back from that defeat when they host Manchester United in a Premier League fixture at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday.

He will look to continue with the impressive form when they play host to Manchester United on Sunday.
