The dethroned Emir of Kano, Muhammadu Sanusi II, on Monday relocated to Loko, Nasarawa State, on exile after the announcement of his removal from the throne by the Kano State government.

The Emir departed the palace in the late hours of Monday and arrived Loko Development Area in Nasarawa Local Government Area, Nasarawa State, at about 2.3am on Tuesday.

The deposed Emir Sanusi II was said to have made his departure from the Malam Aminu International Airport, Kano, hours after the Secretary to the Kano State Government, Usman Alhaji, announced his dethronement by the state government as the Emir of Kano.
