Zenera Golfer Eze Turns Pro, Gets Official Endorsement

After years of training, consistency and dedication, Zenera Consulting’s protégé on the golf scene, Monday Eze, has officially joined the league of professional golfers in Nigeria.

Eze, who has been under the tutelage, mentorship and sponsorship of the Branding and Advertising firm, was on Friday, 21st February2020, formally inducted into the Professional Golfers Association of Nigeria after emerging victorious in the Qualifying Exams.

For four years, the organisation invested in Eze through several trainings to London, Kenya and other countries. They also sponsored his competitions as an amateur golfer within and out of Nigeria.

Apart from rendering financial support, Zenera has also committed to his character development, helping him imbibe values that are in tandem with the organisation’s core value system encapsulated in the BOLD SPIRIT.

With this new feat, Eze officially becomes eligible to play professionally, take up a coaching role or manage golf courses. He also officially enters a five-year endorsement contract with Zenera Consulting.

Expressing appreciation to the entire Zenera team and their support so far, the elated Eze said;

“A player may be good at what he does but if no one believes in him, his success makes no difference. Speaking on the game of golf and its poor appreciation in Nigeria, the Managing Partner of Zenera Consulting, and avid golfer who currently plays off handicap 10.0 and a member of the Ikoyi Golf Club, Meka Olowola, noted that, “Golfing in Nigeria is still not as developed as its hould be. Its challenges range from inadequate facilities, poor funding and low awareness of the game.

“In addition to education and youth development, we have also elected to support the beautiful game of golf and we are therefore glad and fulfilled that our premiere protégé has reached this milestone in his career.”

Reiterating commitment to the young professional, Olowola said, ‘’We are still drumming support for Monday Eze on whatever path he decides to toe from here on, whether as a professional player, a coach or manager of the golf course. However, we encourage him to play professionally because he is a very smart golfer and Nigeria surely needs players like him.’’

He added that the next line of action is to start scouting for others trainable to the level of professionals: “This is a feat that we at Zenera are happy to be a part of, but this is not where our work ends. We will soon set plans in motion to run another talent hunt that will help us identify other future golfers. We will not rest on our oars until we put Nigeria on the golfing map of the world,” he added.

Zenera expressed appreciation to members of Ikoyi Golf Club, Lakowe Golf Course, Concierge Spot, friends in London and Kenya and others who were instrumental to Eze’s success, noting that if all young talents got support like this, the country would be thronged and bursting with professionals who can represent her well in world competitions.
