Confed Cup: Enyimba To Face Guinea’s Horoya In Q/Final

Enyimba will take on Guinean club Horoya in the quarter-final of the CAF Confederation Cup, Completesports.com reports.

The draw for the quarter-final was held on 5th February 2020, at the Hilton Pyramids Golf in Cairo, Egypt.

Enyimba will host the first-leg at the Aba Township Stadium on March 1st before travelling to Conakry for the second-leg on March 8th.

To qualify for the quarter-final, Enyimba finished second in Group D behind Morocco’s Hassania Agadir.

Horoya topped Group B on 14 points, won four and drew two of their six games without defeat.

They have won the Guinean Ligue 1 Pro a record 16 times and also Cup a record eight times.

In 1978 they were crowned champions of the now defunct CAF Cup Winners’ Cup.

They parade Nigerian forward and former Abia Warriors and Rivers United player Bolaji Sakin who joined them in November 2017.

Meanwhile, other quarter-final pairings will see Zanaco of Zambia take on Egypt’s Pyramid, Libya’s Al-Nasr will square off against Hassania Agadir and Al-Masry of Egypt will battle RS Berkane of Morocco.
