The lawmaker representing Isiala Mbano/Onuimo/Okigwe federal constituency in the federal House of Representatives, Hon. Engr. Obinna Kingsley Onwubuariri has lauded the astute leadership of the governor of Imo state, Gov. Emeka Ihedioha on the current efforts of his administration to evolve international best practices in the management and sanitization of the general Imo environment, under the #GoGreen #StayClean Initiative of the governor.
According to him, the governor did so well by bringing in professional hands to help him get back the environments of Imo we all dreamt of. The lawmaker stated that in Imo, the duty to serve comes first before personal interest, as seen in the statesmanship duties of several revered achievers of the state, who accepted to serve in various capacities to uplift Imo to its former envious heights.
“The Governor’s vision of cleaning Imo and keeping the environment clean should be a culture we must all adopt. Ndi Okigwe north understands this sincere need to keep their environment clean, and that’s why we will be identifying with the ideals and plans of the body in charge with the sanitization and environment maintenance to make Okigwe north cleaner than what it used to be”, Hon Obinna stated.
”I hereby use this medium to call on our brothers, sisters, relatives and everyone to come out in mass in the thirty three (33) INEC wards of Okigwe north to fulfill this very important assignment that will bring a long lasting solution to our filthy environment. Remember, a prize awaits the best cleaned local government area, ward and community. We can be the first beneficiaries of the states prize for cleanliness and shine once more”, the lawmaker hinted.
