Burna Boy Shows Off Romantic Side On New Song, ‘Pull Up’

Over the past year, Burna Boy‘s star has been on the rise, and he’s definitely making the most of his increasing popularity by dropping bop after bop in the run-up to the release of his upcoming album, African Giant. His latest effort is the fantastic “Pull Up” — the fifth single off the project.

Burna Boy has been teasing the release of the album for months now. Our first taste of the project was the stellar “Gbona”, which he followed up with “On The Low”, “Dangote” and “Anybody”. He also recently got Beyoncé’s seal of approval, nabbing a solo track on her new LP, The Lion King: The Gift.

Against a reliably solid beat, which still leaves room for his soothing vocals to shine, “Pull Up” finds Burna Boy confessing his feelings through sweetly-worded lyrics. On the track, he shows off a seldom seen romantic side, convincing an unsure lover that what they have is real.

African Giant is set to drop this Friday, and it couldn’t be coming at a better time for the afro-fusion star. He’s garnered a lot of attention since the release of his 2018 mixtape, Outside, and if the singles preceding that are anything to go by, this new project could make him an even bigger star.
