Atalanta, UEFA Salute Lookman For Winning CAF Men’s Player Of The Year Award

Atalanta and UEFA have sent congratulatory messages to Ademola Lookman after he was named 2024 CAF Player of the Year.

Lookman was announced as the winner ahead of Achraf Hakimi, Serhou Guirassy, Simon Adingra and Ronwen Williams, at the awards ceremony in Marrakech, Morocco on Monday.

He succeeds his Nigerian teammate Victor Osimhen, who picked up the award in 2023.

Commenting on Lookman being named CAF Player of the Year, Atalanta wrote on their X handle:”

“Lookman is the @CAF_Online Men’s Player of the Year .”

UEFA stated on their Champions League X handle: ” Ademola Lookman = 2024 Men’s Player of the Year!”

Lookman is now the sixth Nigerian to win the CAF Men’s Player of the Year award.

Others recipients are the late Rashidi Yekini, Emmanuel Amuneke, Nwanwko Kanu, Victor Ikpeba and Osimhen.
