Duncan Mighty Goes Solo On Romantic New Single, ‘Sweet Love’

Duncan Mighty was 2018’s most essential Nigerian collaborator, soaring on tracks with Wizkid (“Fake Love”), Davido (“Aza”), Tiwa Savage (“Lova Lova”) and more. Now, the highlife singer is out to prove he can deliver on his own, and his second effort of 2019 is the romantic “Sweet Love”.

A few days ago on his Instagram page, Duncan Mighty confidently declared that “Sweet Love” is the “latest wedding song” — a fitting description, given the bop’s adoring lyrics and, of course, its bubbly, up-tempo beat. 

On the track, Duncan Mighty addresses the fact that when men gain wealth, they often find a new woman to love, ignoring the one that helped build them up. He, however, wants to prove that his love is genuine, going beyond his financial status.

Although Duncan Mighty’s melodies on “Sweet Love” are pretty basic, his vocals are expectedly commendable. So, while we doubt the song will achieve the success of any of his hit 2018 collaborations, it’s certainly a solid effort from the talented star.
