Nigerian singer and former EME Records artist, Skales has opened up about his collaborative experience with superstar colleague, Wizkid.

During a recent interview on Isbae U’s show, “Curiosity Made Me Ask,” Skales shared insights into their early days, revealing that he played a significant role in assisting Wizkid with songwriting.
According to Skales, approximately five songs on Wizkid’s debut album were penned by him during their time in EME records.
Some of Wizkid’s hit tracks like “Wiz Party,” “Say My Name,” and “Gidi Girl” were all attributed to Skales’ songwriting contributions.
Skales emphasized that the collaboration extended both ways, as Wizkid reciprocated by writing one of his biggest songs to date, “Mukulu.”
He said that the environment in EME as conducive to creativity, where everyone was encouraged to contribute and build upon each other’s ideas.
