
Maryam Shetty on Friday reacted to her substitution on the ministerial nomination list by President Bola Tinubu, and replacing her with Dr. Mairiga Mahmud from Kano State. She thanked President Tinubu for any decision he has taken.
The female nominee noted that she was informed of her withdrawal from the ministerial nomination and replacement with another nominees at the Senate plenary session in Abuja on Friday. She had left her home for the national Assembly for screening without knowledge of her substitution.
Shetty in a short statement declared:
“I was just informed now at today’s plenary session that President Bola Ahmad Tinubu has withdraw my ministerial nomination and replaced with Dr Mairiga Mahmud.
“I’m grateful and thankful for any decision from you, My President!”
