Alio was named man of the match after helping Burkina Faso edge the Eaglets 2-1 in the quarter-finals.
Aside advancing into the semi-finals where they will face Senegal, Burkina Faso have also qualified for this year’s FIFA U-17 World Cup.
Speaking after the win against the Eaglets, Alio expressed confidence Burkina Faso have what it takes to be crowned champions.
“We are delighted with the ticket to the World Cup and now, the focus shifts to the title and we will try to win it. We have a good team and we can do it,” Alio said on CAF’s website.
