Alex Iwobi will go all out to help Everton register their first win of the new Premier League campaign when they visit Frank Onyeka’s Brentford at the Gtech Community Stadium today.
After passing what manager, Frank Lampard called a true test of character at the Carabao Cup in mid-week, Everton will go in search of their maiden Premier League win of the season.
Iwobi was on from start to finish as Everton carved out a 1-0 win over Fleetwood Town in a Carabao Cup second-round game at the Highbury Stadium in Fleetwood, Lancashire on Tuesday.
The Nigerian winger continued in his new-found role at the heart of the Everton midfield, showing yet again his tireless engine and brilliant technical quality all through the game.

Everton worked hard for their win against a dogged Fleetwood side but Demarai Gray’s 28th-minute goal assisted by Iwobi ensured their progress to the third round of the competition.
Indeed, the Nigerian’s display saw him voted as man of the match by Evertonians and Lampard also had words of praise for Iwobi who delivered yet another high-calibre display in all.
Meanwhile, fellow Nigerian compatriot, Onyeka was an unused substitute when Brentford suffered a 3-2 defeat to Fulham in last weekend’s Premier League fixture held at Craven Cottage.
The midfielder started well in English football last season. He featured in 17 of The Bees opening 19 league matches and made 20 appearances all season in the English top-flight.
